At a recent conference to discuss a development strategy for Vietnam’s fisheries until 2030, the sector planned to contribute 30 percent of the GDP of Vietnam’s agriculture, expand its use of advanced technology, and generate 3.5 million jobs. Connecting producers and processors, developing infrastructure, improving competitiveness, and encouraging private investment in the sector were also discussed.
