The institute is coordinating with the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry on a seminar entitled “50 years of ASEAN: ASEAN Economic Community-opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises”, which opened on Wednesday in Hanoi.
The delegation lauded Vietnam for succeeding in administrative reform and improving private sector involvement in policy reform. They said the Vietnamese government is open to the private sector to give it the opportunity to dialogue with the government, and noted that the establishment of the ASEAN Economic Community will open opportunities for Vietnam’s private sector.
Deputy PM Hue said Vietnam is trying to create favorable business conditions and eliminate trade fraud, but there is no substitute for honest examination procedures in each country and coordination between ASEAN members.
