(VOVworld) - Vietnam’s guidelines for the evolution of nuclear power for peaceful purposes have been stipulated in many legal documents, said Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Chu Anh Ngoc.
At a nuclear power seminar and exhibition in Ninh Thuan Province on Thursday, Mr Anh stressed the dialogue gave ministries, departments, social and other organizations a good opportunity to exchange information about the growth of nuclear power.
Ninh Thuan was chosen as the place to construct the first nuclear power plant in Vietnam and so far has proactively coordinated with the relevant agencies and international organizations to implement the project effectively.
Yoshito Nakajima, Japan’s Counsellor to Vietnam said that Japan will give top priority to supplying reliable nuclear and related technologies to Vietnam.
The exhibition and seminar continues until Saturday.
