(VOVworld) – A seminar entitled “Vietnam’s 5-year socioeconomic development plan (2016-2020) – scientific and practical arguments” was held on Thursday in Ho Chi Minh City. Delegates proposed several solutions to boost future economic growth, including speeding up institutional reform, restructuring the economy, enhancing exports, and promoting creativity.

They also discussed international issues and their impacts on Vietnam’s economy in the last 5 years, analyzed socio-economic performance in the past 4 years, and made forecasts for next year. Socio-economic development scenarios in the next 5 years and major solutions and policies were also high on the seminar’s agenda.
