Senior Hamas official Basem Naim said that planned reconciliation talks between rival Palestinian factions Hamas and Fatah had been postponed with no reschedule date. He said Fatah requested the delay. The postponement was confirmed by three unnamed Fatah officials, who said a formal announcement on the matter would be forthcoming.

A recent report from the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs highlighted a worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, particularly in the southern region.
