Son La: investment promotion conference for the northwest
(VOVworld) - An investment promotion conference for the northwest opened in Moc Chau district, Son La province on Saturday. Managers, scientists and businesses exchanged views on policies to improve the investment climate. More than 500 billion dong have been donated from dozens of donors to support the northwest social welfare system. Banks have committed credit support worth 4.7 trillion dong. Deputy Chief of the northwest steering committee, Truong Xuan Cu, praised businesses efforts to support the poor:
“The northwest must rely on investors to develop through incentive policies. More communications should be carried out to advocate for business support in balancing profit seeking and sharing the difficulties of local people in economic development.”

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc announced the Prime Minister’s decision to develop Moc Chau national tourism area. This is a legal foundation to promote local geographical advantages, resources and human development. The State Bank governor granted a gift worth 127 billion dong for the northwest’s social welfare banking system.
