South Korea vows joint efforts with France for lasting peace on Korean Peninsula
(VOVWORLD) - South Korean President Moon Jae-in vowed increased cooperation with France to address major global issues and stressed the need for joint efforts to denuclearize North Korea and establish lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula.

Moon made the statement while meeting with some 200 South Korean residents in France on Saturday.
President Moon said he will hold a summit meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday to discuss key issues facing the international community, including climate change, environment, terrorism, human rights, and new growth strategies that will ensure the future. He called for France’s support in the denuclearization process and lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula.
Moon started his 9-day trip to Europe on Saturday to attend the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM). After France, he will visit Italy, Belgium, Denmark, and the Vatican.
