South Korea welcomes North Korea’s demolition of nuclear test site
(VOVWORLD) -South Korea on Thursday said they welcome North Korea’s demolition its Punggye-ri nuclear test site in the country’s northeast.

National Security Advisor Chung Eui-yong said at a meeting that the move marks the first step towards full denuclearization on the Korean peninsula.
Hours earlier, China’s Xinhua news agency and South Korean Yonhap reported that North Korea completed the demolition of its nuclear test site. On May 12, Pyongyang invited journalists from South Korea, China, Russia, the US, and the UK to witness the closure of the Punggye-ri site.
