South Korean President and businesses to visit Vietnam
(VOVWORLD) -South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and a delegation of more than 200 Korean businesses will visit Vietnam from June 22 to 24.

According to the South Korean President’s Office’s release on Tuesday, the visit will be made at the invitation of President Vo Van Thuong and President Yoon Suk Yeolthe first visit to a Southeast Asian country.
South Korea and Vietnam have upgraded their relations to a "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership" since last December, "opening a new chapter in the relationship", said President Yoon Suk Yeol.
The South Korean leader also urged for stronger bilateral cooperation in advanced technology to stabilize supply chains and exploit rare earth resources in Vietnam. Mr. Yoon said the two countries need to boost bilateral cooperation in finance, information and communication, high technology, infrastructure and energy.
