South Korean President calls for resolution of Korean peninsula’s nuclear issue
(VOVworld) – South Korean President Park Geun-hye called for an urgent solution to the nuclear issue on the Korean peninsula, which she said threatens world peace.

In a speech to the UN General Assembly in New York, Ms. Park Geun-hye said North Korea’s nuclear program violates the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). South Korea has promised to support North Korea’s economy if it abandons its nuclear program.
President Park Geun-hye called on the UN to build an international peace park inside the demilitarized zone (DMZ) between South and North Korea.
