Southeast Asian diplomats hail Vietnam’s ASEAN Chairmanship
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam has done well as the ASEAN Chair in 2020, ASEAN ambassadors in South Africa said at a meeting Wednesday of the ASEAN Pretoria Committee (APC), chaired by Vietnamese Ambassador Hoang Van Loi.

Thai Ambassador Komate Kamalanavin said Vietnam has led the region in dealing with the coronavirus and praised Vietnam’s support of other ASEAN members and dialogue partners in responding to the outbreak.
Malaysian Ambassador Mohamad Nizan B. Mohamad said he has been impressed by Vietnam’s responsibility in leading ASEAN to overcome challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic, now a global crisis.
