(VOVWORLD) - Classical music lovers in Hanoi were offered a treat on Wednesday, when world-renowned artists headlined a special concert called "The First Sounds of Love", which coincided with the first anniversary of the Ho Guom Theater.

The concert included famous arias from classic operas by great composers including Giuseppe Verdi, Georges Bizet, Gaetano Donizetti, Jules Massenet, Vincenzo Bellini, and Giacomo Puccini. Music from famous musicals and movies such as "I will always love you", "We are the champions", and "The prayer" were performed.
The program saw the participation of Welsh mezzo soprano Katherine Jenkins, and Italian tenor Giuseppe Gipali and his wife, singer Meni Ardita. Violinist Bui Cong Duy and the Green Wind Choir further elevated the artistic experience, all under the direction of conductor Tran Nhat Minh.
In the year since its inauguration, 70 concerts have taken place at the Ho Guom Theater. The theater was honored by the World Travel Awards as one of the 10 best opera houses in the world.
