At a meeting on Tuesday with the national women’s football team for International Women’s Day and the 13th National Women Congress which will begin on Wednesday, Mr. Hue stressed the importance of discovering, training, and fostering sport talents inside and outside the country.
"We need to consider sport talent in equality with talents in other aspects like mathematics, arts, literature or language to early discover them and provide them with professional training. This is in line with the Party guideline on fundamentally and comprehensively reforming the education sector and President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings of developing an education sector based on children’s available talent," he said.
"We should create conditions to tap in talents’ potential and respect them. This will help create a high quality human resource which is a strategic breakthrough in realizing the development aspiration," added Chairman Hue.
Chairman Hue asked the Vietnam Football Federation to contribute to fine-tuning mechanisms and strategies for women’s football development and mobilize social resources to further develop Vietnam’s football as a whole.
