(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has directed central and local authorities and agencies to stabilize prices and social order during the coming lunar New Year festival. They were asked to facilitate production and strictly supervise prices and price adjustments to avoid any shortage of goods, speculation, or price hikes during the year end and the Tet holiday.

The State Bank of Vietnam will use monetary instruments flexibly to help businesses remove difficulties and maintain production.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will encourage farmers to boost production while smoothly circulating farm produce to meet higher consumption demands.

The Ministry of Transport will ensure enough means of transport to serve people’s travel needs.
