State President calls on entire society to take better care of children
(VOVWORLD) - The Party, State, and the people have always and will continue to give all their love and the most precious things to children, State President To Lam said at Tuesday’s meeting with children of police martyrs, children raised by the Police Women's Union and communal police, and children of police officers who won national and international awards during the 2023-2024 academic year.

The meeting was part of the "Summer of Love" program held by the Ministry of Public Security to mark Action Month for Children and International Children's Day (June 1).
President Lam urged ministries, sectors, and local authorities to effectively implement Party guidelines and State policies and laws on the care, education, and protection of children with specific goals.
“The whole society takes care of children. Every child, regardless of their circumstances, must be well cared for. All children of school age must be able to attend school. There should be special policies for children in ethnic minority areas. Children with congenital diseases and disabilities should receive medical examination, care, and treatment. All actions that harm, threaten, infringe upon, or exploit children must be condemned," he said.
More than 3,000 orphaned children with difficult circumstances are being cared for by various public security units and local authorities. Among them, nearly 1,900 are being raised by Women's Unions at different levels.
