Chairing a meeting of the Steering Committee with 9 provinces and cities with industrial parks on Friday, he said that if in the previous third wave of outbreak, COVID-19 only appeared in one industrial cluster in Hai Duong, now in the fourth wave, the virus has spread in a large industrial park in Bac Giang, making it more difficult to deal with because the mutated virus spreads at a faster rate.
Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam said, “Industrial zones must be put under tight control. If the disease emerges, infection cases must be dealt with early, not longer than 3 days. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to make medical declarations and update the health status of everyone in the industrial park. All these must be done promptly before it’s too late.”
Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam asked localities not to be negligent and complacent and to regularly inspect the implementation of safety measures, especially wearing masks when leaving the home, avoiding large gatherings, and strengthening management of foreign entries and travels to or from pandemic areas.
