Memorial service for Colonel Tran Quang Khai at the Funeral Hall of the Fourth Military Region's hospital in Vinh, Nghe An on June 20.

Colonel Khai was one of two pilots on the Su-30MK2 fighter jet which crashed off the coast of Nghe An province during a training session on June 14. The other pilot, Major Nguyen Huu Cuong, was rescued. On Saturday Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung and leaders of Nghe An province visited and gave an allowance to the family of Colonel Khai. 

A CASA-212 aircraft with nine people on board went missing on June 16 while searching for the Su-30MK2. The Defense Ministry has mobilized forces to search for the 9 airmen and their aircraft.
