Addressing a ceremony, Vietnamese Consul General Le Viet Duyen praised the group for playing a key role in building a common house for Vietnamese students in Perth. He said the establishment of their association in the near future will strengthen solidarity among overseas Vietnamese students and encourage them to uphold Vietnamese culture and traditions. As many as 2,000 Vietnamese students are studying at colleges, universities and vocational training centres in Western Australia.
