The event was co-hosted by the Sustainable Trade Initiative (IDH), the European Union Delegation to Vietnam, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s Plant Protection Department and the Vietnam Pepper Association. Under the project, nearly 8,000 farmer households have improved their knowledge and practices of green agricultural production.
Nguyen Thien Van, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, said: “The project has linked value chains that Vietnam and Dak Lak province and other the Central Highlands provinces are very interested in. Hopefully that in the coming time, agencies and organizations will continue to accompany and create conditions for people in the Central Highlands to expand production area, increase economic profits, and develop sustainably.”
Funded by the EU and the IDH, the project is carried out from 2021-2023 in Dak Lak, Dak Nong, and Gia Lai province to help Vietnam reap the benefits of bilateral trade commitments and boost the export of quality products and services to the EU.
