(VOVworld) – The three-week “Innovative Sweden” program will kick off in Ho Chi Minh city next Monday to showcase Swedish innovations and creativity and facilitate an exchange of ideas between Sweden and Vietnam.

The event marks the 45^th anniversary of Vietnamese-Swedish diplomatic ties. The program will include 18 economic, technology, education and cultural events. Swedish film and music festivals, and an exhibition on overseas study in Sweden will take place in the city as part of the occasion.  Swedish deputy ambassador to Vietnam Elenore Kanter said: "I think it will be a great opportunity to strengthen our relationship. During the 3-week program, there will be business related activities, related to education and culture activities. We are celebrating 45^th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Sweden and Vietnam. We found strongly necessary to have the program in Ho Chi Minh city because Ho Chi Minh city is the engine of economic growth in Vietnam, it is a dynamic city and a business hub, so we decided to hold 3-week exhibition in Ho Chi Minh city. It set a platform for Vietnamese and Swedish people to meet and have dialogue and hopefully it will develop friendship and professional connection, so I think this is very important for the future".
