(VOVworld) - Marie-Gabrielle Ineichen-Fleisch, Switzerland’s Secretary for Economic Affairs, paid an official visit Monday to the ASEAN Secretariat and met with Lim Hong Hin, ASEAN Deputy Secretary-General.

Lim Hong Hin applauded Switzerland’s interest in strengthening its economic cooperation with ASEAN and briefed his Swiss guest on the progress of establishing the ASEAN Economic Community. He also touched upon the progress of trade negotiations, including the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership based on the ASEAN+1 Free Trade Areas.

Ms. Ineichen-Fleisch praised efforts to realize the ASEAN Economic Community this year and reiterated Switzerland's strong interest in expanding its relations with ASEAN, especially in economic cooperation.
