(VOVworld) – The Swiss Agency for Development and Co-operation (SDC) on Friday organized a workshop to celebrate the achievements of its 25 years of collaboration with Vietnam on September 30.

Swiss Ambassador to Vietnam Beatrice Maser Mallor said from 1992 to 2016, SDC has invested over 222 million USD through 32-non-refundable programs. SDC program activities in Vietnam which are part of SDC's overall engagement in the frame of its Mekong Region Program, are estimated to have reached 4.6 to 6.8 million people.
Switzerland will continue to stay engaged in Vietnam with overseas development assistance but adapts its development co-operation to new realities and needs. Vietnam and Switzerland bilateral cooperation will continue to focus on addressing challenges such as climate change, water and food security and towards sustainable economic growth.
