Syrian President Bashar al-Assad pledges to make a mission of UN-Arab League Kofi Annan successful to restore security and stability in Syria. Assad said on Thursday that Syria will soon start a national dialogue involving all factions in Syria to find ways to restore stability and security to the country. The statement came in a message Assad sent to a summit of the five-nation BRICS bloc which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. He stressed that in order to make Annan's mission successful, there should be concentration on halting all kinds of support to terrorism in Syria, especially by countries whose officials have declared their financing and arming of the armed terrorist groups in Syria.
