(VOVworld) - Rebel groups on Sunday set a 48-hour deadline for the US and Russian sponsors of a February ceasefire in Syria's conflict to halt a regime offensive in the town of Daraya and West Ghout and suburb of Damascus.

In a joint statement by the Free Syrian Army, nearly 40 rebel groups across the country have warned that if the Syrian government and its allies do not stop their attacks in two days the ceasefire accord will be considered over and rebel groups will fight back at any cost.
