He made the statement during Wednesday meeting with visiting Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari, who said Iran will continue to support Syria in the fight against terrorism and the search for an end to Syria’s long civil war. The Iranian official highlighted the importance of coordination between Syria, Iran, and Russia to reach a political solution in Syria.

The government army has captured 15 oil and gas fields in Syria's northern province of Raqqa, the main stronghold of ISIS.
