A military spokesman said on Syrian state TV that together with allied forces, they have achieved their mission of restoring security and stability in the area. The army and its allies took over a Wadi Barada village containing a major spring and pumping station that supplies most of Damascus' water on Saturday. Clashes have occured in Wadi Barada for several weeks, which negatively affected the nationwide ceasefire and caused disruption of water supply.
