(VOVWORLD) - The Taliban have assured about 100 countries that all foreign nationals and any Afghan citizen with travel authorization from foreign countries will be allowed to proceed in a safe and orderly manner to points of departure and travel outside the country, even after the deadline for the withdrawal of all US troops from Afghanistan on August 31, according to the Joint Statement on Afghanistan Evacuation Travel Assurances on Sunday.

The statement was released by 100 countries including the US, UK, France, Germany, Australia, Japan, France, Spain, the EU and NATO, but the list did not include China and Russia.
On Sunday, Acting Minister of Information and Culture and Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid announced that the armed Islamist force would complete the list of new government within the next two weeks.
In recent days, the Taliban have appointed a series of positions in the new government: acting minister of higher education, acting director of the Afghan National Olympic Committee, acting minister of information and culture, public affairs, education, plus mayors of some cities and governors of most provinces.
