Taliban begin discussing future of Afghan security force members
(VOVWORLD) - A Taliban official told Reuters on Thursday that the Islamist group's leaders have begun discussing the future of Afghan security force members.

The official said Taliban commanders have started registering all the weapons and equipment left in Afghanistan by US and other NATO forces. The Taliban cannot be blamed, he said, for the chaos and deaths in Kabul in recent days as people rushed to leave the country.
The Taliban called on imams to urge unity on Friday, when they held their first prayers since the Islamist group seized full control of Afghanistan. Sporadic protests continued for a second day in several cities as Afghanistan marked its Independence Day.
