(VOVworld) – Turkey’s Anatolia news agency said on Sunday that Turkey banned its army staff from traveling to Russia for holidays, amid heightened tensions between the two countries after Turkey downed a Russian fighter jet.

Russia’s warships fired warning shots at a Turkish fishing boat in the Aegean Sea after the Turkish vessel ignored repeated warnings. Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov has summoned the military attaché of the Turkish embassy in Russia to discuss the incident.
