Thailand's King Rama X

This is the third of 10 Organic Acts approved by the King since Thailand’s 2017 Constitution was adopted in April. The two previously approved Acts were the Election Commission Act and the Criminal Procedure Acts for Holders of Political Offices. It is expected that the Constitution drafting committee will complete the remaining draft Acts before December 2. Although the Act on Political Parties has taken effect, Thailand’s political parties are still concerned about the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO)’s ban on gatherings and other activities which may affect preparations for the next election.
