(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang has visited Thai Nguyen province over the last 2 days. In La Bang, a mountain commune in Dai Tu district, he called on the local authorities to continue tea growing and gardening, apply advanced technologies, and develop new trades to improve people’s lives.

He also oversaw the Thai Nguyen Samsung Electronics Factory and the Nui Phao Mineral Processing Company. He hailed Samsung’s selection of Vietnam as a strategic investment destination and said that the Vietnamese government will continue to support Samsung’s development. He asked Samsung to boost technology transfer and support Vietnamese auxiliary businesses to join the value chain.

He urged leaders in Thai Nguyen province to focus more on infrastructure development as a pre-requisite for more rapid growth. He also asked the province to work harder to attract investors and establish businesses in the support industries. He said that the province should train a contingent of qualified workers for industrial development.
