(VOVworld) – The Thai parliament met Wednesday to discuss the Monday ruling by the International Court of Justice on the Preah Vihear temple.

Weerachai Palasai, Thailand’s ambassador to the Netherlands, who took part in the court proceedings, briefed the parliament on the court’s ruling and explained the advantages and difficulties for Thailand and Cambodia in the ruling’s implementation. At the meeting, Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra said the Thai government will seek parliament’s approval on the resolution of the Preah Vihear temple issue. The Thai parliament will take into consideration agreements reached by the Thai and Cambodian governments related to the court’s ruling.
