Thailand: 22 people arrested over Yala Bombing spree

(VOVworld) - Thai authorities have arrested 22 suspects in connection with a three-day spate of bombings in the southern border province of Yala that injured nearly 20 people last month. According to Colonel Isra Chantakrayom, commander of the 41st Ranger Division, three out of 22 suspects who were arrested on Tuesday have admitted to have conducted the bombings, which rocked Yala between 14 - 16 May, injured 18 people and destroyed many buildings. At least 56 explosive devices have been activated or discovered by the police in Yala province during the last 3 days. Security officers have traced suspects based on cameras and witnesses’ testimony. Suspects will soon be questioned.
