Entitled “Tuyen Quang-convergence of quintessence”, the festival will feature 11 art troupes from all over Vietnam.
For years, the Tuyen Citadel Festival, held on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, has been an important part of people’s lives in Tuyen Quang province.
At the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh said the 2-day festival supports the preservation and development of national cultural heritages.
“The combination of entertainment for children and promotion of national intangible cultural heritages creates a special Mid-Autumn Festival for Tuyen Quang province, and Vietnam’s northern revolutionary base,” said Mr. Binh.
A series of cultural, sports, and tourism activities were held including a Tuyen Quang city Gala Night introducing local cuisine, tourist products, and specialties.
