(VOVworld) - The 1^st session of the 14^th National Assembly concluded on Friday after 9 days of sitting.

The 1st session of the 14th National Assembly closed.

Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan told the closing session that deputies have reviewed social economic development and completed their voting to select key leadership positions:“The National Assembly has completed its tasks of organizational structure and voting of key state leadership positions. Deputies expected the elected and approved leaders to improve their performance and better meet the public’s aspirations.”

Chairwoman Ngan said that in the context of complicated world situations and unfavorable domestic events, including environmental pollution, the Formosa case and the East Sea issue following the PCA ruling, the national social economic development targets will be impacted: “The 14^th National Assembly should improve its performance to raise productivity and complete its assigned tasks. East deputy should uphold the fine tradition of the National Assembly’s 70 years of operation and get directly connected to voters to build a state of the people, for the people and by the people.”
