(VOV) – The Government has discussed a project to “basically and comprehensively reform education and training, meeting the demands of industrialization and modernization amidst market-oriented economy and international integration”.

At a government monthly meeting for July on Wednesday, cabinet members focused on improving investment effectiveness for educational development, and renewing radically forms and methods of tests and examinations. Participants also looked at ways to improve the national educational system aimed towards open education, lifelong learning and building a learning society as well as the reforms of educational management, policies, and the mobilization of social contributions.

Addressing the meeting, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung praised the education and training sector’s contributions to national achievements, but urged the sector to do more to meet the demand of industrialization and modernization. The Prime Minister asked cabinet members to continue contributing opinions to the project before it is submitted the Party Central Committee.
