Thousands take part in blood donation activities
(VOVworld) – Thousands of people joined a blood donation event held on Saturday in Hanoi as part of the on-going 2
nd volunteer blood drive called “Red journey” and commemorative activities to mark the 67
th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day on July 27. President of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, Nguyen Hai Duong, said the blood drive was a great success as it has contributed significantly to promoting volunteer blood donation in localities across Vietnam:
"The Red Journey campaign has been held in 25 provinces and localities across Vietnam where it attracted huge participation of people from all walks of life. Around 15,000 blood units have been collected during this journey and will be used to save lives of many patients in critical conditions."
