Three bodies of helicopter crash victims found in waters near Ha Long Bay
(VOVWORLD) -As of 11.30 pm on Wednesday, three bodies of victims killed in a helicopter crash near Ha Long Bay were identified as pilot Chu Quang Minh and two tourists and they have been brought to the funeral house of Ha Long city.

The Ministry of National Defense on Wednesday said the US-made Bell-505 helicopter of the Army's Northern Helicopter Company piloted by Colonel Chu Quang Minh, carrying four Vietnamese tourists on a sightseeing tour of Ha Long Bay, took off at 16:56, lost contact at 17:15.
As soon as the plane lost signal, the Northern Helicopter Company coordinated with the Border Guard and local military forces for emergency mission.
Pham Quang Hien, Secretary of Cat Hai District Party Committee, Hai Phong City, said that during the nigh the border guards, port and transport authorities and other functional agencies were carrying out search and rescue work.
“About 30 people participating in the search of Cat Hai district together with vehicles and equipment. More than 100 people, including border guards and police forces approached the crash site,” he added.
Bell-505 is a US-made helicopter which has an all-glass cabin for visitors' visibility and has been used for sightseeing tours over UNESCO Heritage Site of Ha Long Bay since 2019.
