Among the attendants were Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission Le Minh Hung, Minister of National Defense General Phan Van Giang, Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long, and Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh.

To Lam said the appointment demonstrated the Party, National Assembly, and Government’s recognition and acknowledgement of their contributions and devotion to the domains that they have been in charge of.

He asked the officials to continue promoting the noble revolutionary tradition, and upholding their moral qualities, stay absolutely loyal to the Party, Fatherland, and people, wholeheartedly serve the Fatherland, and the people, keep studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and lifestyle, and try to excellently complete all assigned tasks, making positive contributions to the cause of national building and safeguarding in the new situation.
