(VOVWORLD) -After paying their last respects to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Funeral House in Hanoi on Thursday morning, President To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man wrote funeral notes commemorating Party leader Trong.

President To Lam wrote in the funeral book: "I deeply mourn comrade General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, a beloved son of the Vietnamese people, an exceptionally outstanding leader, a staunch communist party member, a shining example of constantly studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style. He earned the tremendous trust of the Party, State and people of Vietnam, was a great friend of the world people, a person who devoted his whole life to the country, Party, and People with great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, international communist movement and maintaining peace, stability, and development in the region and the world".
President To Lam affirmed that the name, career, personality and great contributions of General Secretary Trong are deeply imprinted in the hearts of the people and forever enshrined in the glorious history of the civilized and heroic Vietnamese nation.
In his funeral book note, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh reiterated his profound respect and deep gratitude for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s great contributions and lifelong dedication to the revolutionary cause of the people, the nation, and the cause of national construction and defense in the new era. The Prime Minister affirmed that he will follow Mr. Trong’s example, unite, and join forces with high determination and great efforts, overcome all difficulties and challenges, and do his best to build and protect the Socialist Fatherland of Vietnam for prosperity and happiness.
Writing in the funeral book, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong devoted time, effort and intelligence on organizational innovation and improving the operational efficiency of the National Assembly; and mapped out important orientations to best meet the country's political requirements and tasks and the expectations and trust of voters and people nationwide. The death of General Secretary Trong is a huge loss for the Party, State and People of Vietnam and left an endless grief for comrades, compatriots, families and international friends, Mr. Man wrote.
