Trade ministers meet to promote TPP
(VOVWORLD) -Senior officials from signatories to the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) met on the sidelines of the APEC Ministers Responsible for Trade in Hanoi on Sunday to discuss the future of the ambitious trade pact.
Ministers and Deputy Ministers from Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, New Zealand, Malaysia, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam reiterated the economic and strategic importance of the TPP and agreed on the need to realize the pact’s benefits.

They assigned technical staff to explore an early implementation of the agreement and its expansion to other economies if they accept the agreement’s high standards. These efforts would help ease concerns about protectionism, maintain market access and promote global trade while improving life quality.
