(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s export revenue in 2022 is expected to reach about 368 billion USD, a year-on-year rise of nearly 9.5%, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Meanwhile, import value is estimated at 367 billion USD in the year, resulting in a trade surplus of some 1 billion USD, fulling the set target, the Ministry said in a report.
Vietnam earned more than 186 billion USD from export in the first half of this year. 29 products reported their export turnover surpassing 1 billion USD.
The ministry said the enterprises have optimised free trade agreements (FTAs), especially new-generation deals, to boost exports.
Vietnam enjoyed export growth in markets it has free trade agreements with, ranging from 12% to 34%, according to Tran Thanh Hai, deputy head of the Agency of Foreign Trade.
