Trump threatens secondary tariffs on Russian oil if unable to make deal on Ukraine

(VOVWORLD) - US President Donald Trump said Sunday he will impose secondary tariffs of 25% to 50% on all Russian oil if he feels Moscow is blocking his efforts to end the conflict in Ukraine, and they could start within a month if there is no ceasefire.

In an interview with NBC, Trump said: "If Russia and I are unable to make a deal on stopping the conflict in Ukraine, and if I think it was Russia’s fault, I am going to put secondary tariffs on all oil coming out of Russia.”

Trump said he will ban all Russian oil importers from doing business in the US if no agreement is reached with Moscow.
