(VOVWORLD) -Turkey is ready to again host peace talks between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in a video address to the Ukraine-Southeast Europe summit on Wednesday.
He reiterated his commitment to Ukraine's territorial integrity, and said he is ready to contribute to Ukraine's recovery.
Diplomacy and dialogue should be allowed to end the war with a just and lasting peace, said Erdogan, adding that it is essential to use all diplomatic channels at the highest level to achieve this goal. The Turkish leader still maintains contact with both his Russian and Ukrainian counterpart.
Russia said it does not refuse negotiations, but it will only negotiate after achieving the goals of its special military operation, and any negotiation must take into account Russia's requests.
