Turkey needs to reduce their enemies and increase their friends, Erdogan said in an interview, adding that there is "no reason" why he should not make visits to Germany despite ongoing differences between the two countries. Erdogan praised the current German government for standing up against US President Donald Trump’s controversial decision earlier this month to recognize Jerusalem as the "capital" of Israel. He said he might also go to the Vatican to meet Pope Francis.
