U23 football team honored at grand ceremony
(VOVWORLD) -A grand ceremony took place at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi on Sunday evening to honor the U23 team, who just brought home the silver medal from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U23 Championship.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Tran Dai Quang, and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan sent flowers to congratulate the team for their outstanding achievement.
Captain Luong Xuan Truong thanked all the people of Vietnam for their love and support: “I don’t know what to say at this moment to express my feelings. From the morning until now, from Noi Bai international airport to My Dinh stadium, we have had no meal yet, but we are not hungry because of the warm welcome from everybody. I am sure this will be an unforgettable moment of our life.”
