At a reception hosted by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in Hanoi on Wednesday, the UAE Foreign Minister proposed that the two countries strengthen cooperation in such important fields as renewable energy, climate change, sustainable development, environmental protection, and people-to-people exchanges.
Prime Minister Chinh called on the two sides to complete negotiations for the Vietnam-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) as soon as possible.
He also asked the UAE to help Vietnam in developing Halal food production and services, and build cooperation mechanisms in Halal certification in Vietnam to boost two-way trade.
Vietnam encourages UAE enterprises and investment funds to invest and transfer technologies in the areas of mutual concern like logistics, real estate, infrastructure and innovation, PM Chinh said.
He asked the UAE to share its experience and help Vietnam build an international financial center, connect innovation networks, and enhance energy transition, environmental protection and natural resources management.
