(VOVWORLD) - Immediately after taking office on Tuesday, Britain’s new Prime Minister (PM) Rishi Sunak formed a new cabinet. Several ministers under former PM Liz Truss had resigned or were fired.

Sunak reappointed Jeremy Hunt as his Finance Minister, and also kept his predecessor’s Defense Secretary Ben Wallace and Foreign Secretary James Cleverly.
Forming a new government that includes members of the last two governments shows that Sunak places a high priority on uniting the Conservatives and maintaining stability in key areas like finance, defense, and foreign affairs.
