The 52-year old Masood was born in Kent southeast of London and lived in the central region of the UK. He had a criminal record but was never convicted of any act of terrorism. In a statement, London police said Masood was not the subject of any current investigation and there was no previous intelligence about his intention to conduct an attack.
The attack left 5 people dead and 40 injured after Masood drove into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge before crashing his car in front of Parliament and attacking the police with a knife.
On Thursday, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent his condolences to UK Prime Minister Theresa May.
