(VOVWORLD) - The UK Parliament on Wednesday quickly approved the post-Brexit agreement signed with the EU last Thursday, just one day before the Brexit transition ends.

The agreement will take effect at 11pm London time.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson said this is a great achievement for the UK, which retains the right to access the European market but will be allowed to set its own policies.
The UK and the EU have agreed to implement the agreement on January 1.
